Bakrid is a popular name pronounced as the feast of sacrifice, Id-ul-Adha. It is the day when muslims sacrifice 'Bakra' (goat) to commemorate the great sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim who agreed to sacrifice his only son Ismail at his behest to follow his devotion towards god.
